Hajj is a magnificent act of worship that encompasses financial, physical, and spiritual devotion. It is a continuation of the tradition of Hazrat Hajra (Hagar, peace be upon her) and the Abrahamic legacy. The obligation of Hajj teaches us the values of love for Allah, universal brotherhood, solidarity, sacrifice, and strong faith. The true spirit of this obligation lies in the complete obedience, submission, and contentment of the Muslim Ummah before Allah.

These views were expressed by Dr. Humaira Tariq, Secretary General of Women Wing Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, in her message on the occasion of the Day of Hajj.

She said that during Hajj, millions of pilgrims perform Sa'i between Safa and Marwah in remembrance of Hazrat Hajra (peace be upon her). The inclusion of her practice as an integral part of Hajj until the Day of Judgment is a testament to the honor and dignity bestowed upon women in Islam. The remarkable example of obedience to Allah demonstrated by Hazrat Hajra (peace be upon her) remains a guiding light for Muslim women throughout history.

Dr. Humaira Tariq further stated that in the present era, the true heirs of Hazrat Ibrahim (Abraham, peace be upon him) in Palestine have written a history of faith, conviction, and sacrifice that will continue to inspire believers until the end of time.

She emphasized that the solution to the suffering of the Muslim Ummah today lies in understanding and achieving the true objectives of Hajj.

Dr. Humaira Tariq added that the real spirit of Hajj is for Muslims to unite like a solid wall in pursuit of Allah’s pleasure, to endure hardships with patience and perseverance following the example of Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him), and to strive for the attainment of piety and Islamic unity, which are the essence of Hajj.

On this occasion, Dr. Humaira Tariq congratulated all pilgrims performing Hajj and prayed that Allah Almighty accept their Hajj and bless the Muslim Ummah with unity, peace, justice, and mutual harmony.
