The elections for the women members of the Central Shura of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan have been completed.
Rashid Naseem, President of the Election Commission of Jamaat-e-Islami Pakistan, has announced the names of the 25 women elected to the Central Shura of the Women’s Wing for the 2026–2029 session. The newly elected members include distinguished women from various walks of life, such as MBBS doctors, PhD scholars, authors, columnists, educationists, and former parliamentarians. The elected members comprise 9 from Sindh, 4 from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, 1 from Balochistan, 3 from North Punjab, 1 from the Islamabad chapter, 3 from Central Punjab, 2 from the Lahore chapter, and 2 from South Punjab. The elected members are: **Khyber Pakhtunkhwa:** Maria Aftab, Rabia Painda, Hasina Shah, and Fozia Noreen. **Islamabad:** Qudsia Namoos. **North Punjab:** Zahida Ashraf, Kausar Parveen, and Maryam Jameela. **Lahore:** Uzma Imran and Nazia Tauheed. **Central Punjab:** Tayyaba Arshad and Bushra Sadiqa. **South Punjab:** Shazia Sial and Shazia Sher Afzal. **Sindh & Karachi Chapter:** Jawadan Faheem, Rukhsanda Naz Muneeb, Afshan Naveed, Durdana Siddiqui, Farah Imran, Asma Safeer, Musarrat Junaid, Nadeema Tasneem, and Ayesha Zaheer. **Balochistan:** Shazia Abdullah. The results for Central Punjab Constituency No. 3, comprising the districts of Sahiwal, Okara, Pakpattan, Sheikhupura, Nankana Sahib, and Kasur, will be announced later. The vote-counting process was supervised by Election Commission President Rashid Naseem, along with Commission members Bilal Qudrat Butt, Dr. Atta-ur-Rehman, and Zikrullah Mujahid. Imran Zahoor Ghazi and his team provided valuable support in compiling the election results.
